Corridors

Compare only within a group. The I-214 loop bands run 44,499–53,859 acres; the I-14 approach bands run 15,685–29,150. Ranking a loop option against an approach segment compares different lengths of road and means nothing.

Addresses = 9-1-1 address points inside the full mile-wide band, end to end (county 911 / Texas CSEC, via I14AddressPoints) — one point per addressable location. Per 1k ac normalises for band size; lowest and highest mark the fewest and most addresses in each group. Ties are tagged together. These go by raw count, so read them alongside the density column — bands within a group are not the same size, and the approach bands vary widely.

An address point is a proxy for a developed property, not a building count: unaddressed outbuildings, barns and sheds are excluded, and addressed vacant parcels may be included. Apartments are counted per unit, but that barely affects these bands — multi-unit records run 0.1–0.4% on the loop routes and under 5% on the approaches.

These are not displacement counts. The final right-of-way is roughly 400 ft, about 8% of the band width, so actual displacements will be a fraction of these figures. Use them to compare alternatives, never as a count of homes taken.

Addresses = address points in the full mile-wide band end to end. Both are comparative figures for a mile-wide study corridor, not displacement counts — the final ROW is roughly 400 ft, about 8% of the band width. Fwy = regulatory floodway acres crossed.

SH 30 project

TxDOT's SH 30 at the Navasota River project — 2.9 mi, three 1958 bridges replaced, letting scheduled 2027 — falls inside five conceptual alternatives: C4 (66% of its length), E4 (59%), and C1/C2/C6 (35% each). C3 and C5 do not overlap it.

Published section: four lanes with a centre two-way left-turn lane, 10 ft shoulders, 120–200 ft of right of way, at-grade access retained.
Pipelines. Transmission lines in service, from the Railroad Commission of Texas, generalised to about 10 m for display. Gathering lines are excluded — there are 14,080 in this area and they bury everything else.

These may not be used for pipeline location purposes in lieu of calling an official notification center prior to excavating. It is a violation of Texas law to fail to make the required 8-1-1 calls.
